A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a bus in south-east London.
Paramedics treated the man in Lambeth Palace Road before rushing him to a major trauma centre shortly after 8am on Thursday.
Officers confirmed that the man, aged in his 50s, was in critical condition in a south London hospital.
Pictures of the crash emerged online showing a number 53 double-decker bus to Lambeth North with a smashed windscreen.

The images also show officers, who were reportedly already in the area while on patrol following the London attack on Wednesday, treating the pedestrian.
The road was closed and traffic was diverted until around 10.45am.
A Met spokeswoman said: “Officers attended and found a pedestrian in collision with a bus.
“No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue."
