Driver smashes £150,000 Lamborghini into London office after ‘losing control’

A driver of a £150,000 sports car is believed to be in hospital after smashing it into the side of an office building in London.

Pictures show the Lamborghini Huracan crumpled against the side of the retail unit in Shoreditch, east London, having shattered the windows of the building.

Witnesses reported hearing a "loud bang that sounded like an engine revving" before the crash.

A cordon was erected around the crash, while the front of the car has been completely smashed up.

One witness told MyLondon: "It’s the side of the Fora Shoreditch building just off Great Eastern Street.

“I only heard it, but the guy was revving his engine then there was a loud bang, sounded a bit like the car backfired, but it’s clearly where he lost control and ditched it into the doors.”

Another witness added: "He was coming out of the car wash and hit the building. The man and lady [in the car] are ok. They left but are both in hospital."

A Met Police spokesperson told Yahoo News UK that there was “no trace” of officers being called to the collision.

Yahoo News UK has contacted the London Ambulance Service for a comment.
