We were right, those posters did mean we were getting new music from Lana Del Rey.

She unveiled gorgeous new single 'Love' overnight and it couldn't be more Lana if it tried with her crooning over a retro backdrop, with lyrics like: "You're part of the past, but no, you're the future."

It's good to have you back, Lana.

Some mysterious posters popping up around Los Angeles suggested that we were about to get something new from Lana.

We only have the audio so far for 'Love', but a video directed by Rich Lee is on the way at some point and is likely to be all cinematic and lush.

All we know about Lana's new album so far is this enigmatic statement released with 'Love': "I made my first four albums for me, but this one is for my fans and about where I hope we are all headed."

She's been teasing new music for a while now, posting a photo of herself in the studio last March, despite only releasing fourth album Honeymoon in September 2015, with it reaching number two in the UK and US.

But perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised for new Lana music less than two years after that album, since it came out just over a year after 2014's Ultraviolence.

Not that we're complaining.
