Lanarkshire crash involving motorbike and pedestrian leaves two in hospital
Two people have been rushed to hospital following a collision involving a motorcycle and pedestrian.
Emergency services scrambled to Stevenston Street, in the Holytown area of Lanarkshire, around 5.35pm on Wednesday (October 30) following a crash involving a black, orange and white Surron motorcycle and a pedestrian. We previously reported how the busy road had been closed off.
Two ambulances, one trauma team, and a rapid resuscitation response unit were sent to the scene by Scottish Ambulance Service. A 29-year-old man, the motorcyclist, was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

An 18-year-old man, the pedestrian, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. The road was closed for around six hours to allow for police enquiries to be carried out.
Sergeant Chris McColm said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact us. We are also appealing to anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward."
