Lancashire curry houses named among best in the country

Curry houses in Lancashire have been named some of the best in the country in a recent awards ceremony.

Dalvee Restaurant in Poulton-le-Fylde was named in the Top 100 Asian Restaurant Winners 2024, honoured at the House of Lords on Thursday (July 4). The prestigious event was hosted by Lord Kamall on behalf of the Asian Catering Federation (ACF) and presented by BBC news anchor Samantha Simmonds.

During the event, top restaurants were given accolades for the Asian and Oriental Chef Awards, determined by a live cook-off competition. Owners of the new Top 100 Asian restaurants were also recognised during the ceremony.

Also published by the ACF are the Top 100 restaurants in the UK, categorised by region. In the north west, a number of curry houses hail in Lancashire, with Kebabish Original in Blackburn making the list. Also there is The Zen Restaurant in Lytham St Annes and My Lahore in Blackburn.

Taking to social media, Dalvee Restaurant have thanked their customers and staff as they were recognised in the awards. They wrote: "Exciting news! We are thrilled to announce that Dalvee Restaurant has been officially recognized as ONE of the Top 100 Asian Restaurants in the UK at the prestigious House of Lords, Westminster Palace. This incredible achievement is a testament to our unwavering passion for culinary excellence and the continual support from our amazing community. Me and my team are truly blessed and grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey.
