Lancs driver wanted to reinsure car at roadside after being stopped by police

A driver wanted to reinsure their vehicle at the roadside after being pulled over by the police as part of Operation Tutelage.

Lancashire Road Police pulled over the blue Vauxhall Mokka just before 7.30pm yesterday (March 19) for no insurance or MOT.

The driver was also found to be in possession of cannabis.

They admitted all the offences but were "upset" when they were not allowed to try and reinsure their car at the roadside or take their cannabis home.

The car was seized.

A spokesperson for the police force said: "Car was stopped as part of Operation Tutelage for no insurance or MOT.

"Driver was also in possession of cannabis. Driver admitted all offences but was upset when they weren't allowed to try reinsure at the roadside or take their cannabis home.

"Car seized."
