Large Crater Evident in Mykolaiv After Russian Shelling

Buildings and infrastructure were left damaged in the city of Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine on the morning of Tuesday, April 19, after the city was shelled by Russians the night before, according to the chair of the city’s regional council.

Video filmed by Suspilne Mykolaiv that morning shows a hollow in the ground along Kosmonavtiv Street in Mykolaiv, which is lined by car dealerships. Some debris can be seen.

Anna Zamazeeva, the chair of the Mykolaiv council, said “most of the districts of Mykolaiv” had been damaged the night before.
