Large Crowds of Protesters Demand Immigration and Climate Reform During March Across DC

Large crowds of immigrant-rights demonstrators, including activists from over a dozen organizations from across the country, rallied in Washington, DC, on September 21 for immigration and climate reform.

Protesters demanded that “Congress ensure a pathway to citizenship stays in the budget reconciliation package, as well as investments in the care economy, and green infrastructure that will help fight climate change are delivered,” wrote CASA, which said it is “the largest grassroots immigrant advocacy organization in the Mid-Atlantic region,” in a press release.
