Large Plume of Smoke From Caldor Fire Wafts Over Jobs Peak, California

A large plume of smoke wafted above parts of northern California as the 199,632 acre (311 square mile) Caldor Fire continued to rage on August 31.

This footage filmed by Mackenzie Koppert, shows dark smoke clouds looming above Jobs Peak in California’s Alpine County.

Local fire authorities issued evacuation orders and warnings for communities in Alpine County on Tuesday as the blaze encroached on the area.
