Large scale disturbance on Glasgow street as police race to scene

Police raced to a Glasgow street following a large scale disturbance on Sunday afternoon.

Multiple police cars were seen in Crownpoint Road in the East End of the city at around 12pm on Sunday, November 10 after receiving reports of an incident.

Pictures from the scene show a man sitting on the road covered in blood as riot vans speed past.

Cops have taped off part of the road near to the junction with Orr Street.

The nature of the incident is currently unknown and enquiries are underway.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.15pm on Sunday, 10 November 2024, police were called to reports of a disturbance in the Crownpoint area of the East End of Glasgow.

"Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area."
