Large Smoke Plumes Waft Over San Bernardino County as South Fire Rages

Large plumes of smoke wafted skyward near Lytle Creek, California, as the South Fire grew to 500 acres in size (0.78 square miles) on August 25.

This footage uploaded to Instagram, shows a timelapse of the blaze burning in the distance on Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials, the South Fire was sparked on Wednesday and remained at zero percent containment.
