Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding led the cast of Last Christmas at the film's London premiere on Monday night.

The duo - who are the lead stars in the new festive flick - were in attendance at the BFI Southbank event alongside fellow A-listers including Emma Thompson.

The Oscar-winning actress and screenwriter plays Clarke's mother and also penned the Last Christmas script with her husband, Greg Wise.

Game Of Thrones actress Clarke, 33, sported a black gown with a deep cut-out section and embellished neckline.

Thompson, 60, went all out in a purple coat and matching sequinned stars on her slicked back hair.

The film's director, Paul Feig, sported a festive deep-red blazer and bow tie.

Kylie Minogue also attended the event, waving to fans and happily posing for snaps on the red carpet, alongside George Michael's Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley.

Early reviews for Last Christmas have been mixed but Feig seems determined to take them in his stride.

Retweeting a one-star review from Rolling Stone magazine, he wrote earlier this week: "As a lifelong @RollingStone reader, I sincerely thank you for your opinion.

"We can’t win everybody over but we will continue to try! I swear all of our hearts were in the right place. Can our one star at least be a really really big star?"

Last Christmas was filmed in London during the 2018 festive season and is inspired by the music of George Michael and Wham!.

Clarke plays a troubled young woman who is down on her luck, working in a shop that sells Christmas decorations all year round.

Her love interest is played by Golding, 32, and the film also features his Crazy Rich Asians co-star Michelle Yeoh.

Golding previously worked with Feig, 57, on A Simple Favour.

Last Christmas is in cinemas from Friday, November 15.
