Star Wars: The Last Jedi is less than a month away and you just know that it's going to be huge.

In fact, The Hollywood Reporter has said that the film is projected to make a massive $200 million in the US across its opening weekend.

To put that number in perspective, only three films have reached that milestone in box office history: The Avengers ($207.4 million), Jurassic World ($208.8 million) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million).

The Last Jedi isn't expected to break the record set by The Force Awakens.

Sequels don't normally do better on opening weekend, plus it can't really compete with the hype about the return of Star Wars, but could it nab second place? It's anyone's guess.

The eighth main Star Wars film is sure to break one record, at two and a half hours it's going to be the longest film in the franchise.

Beyond The Last Jedi, Disney has lined up Solo: A Star Wars Story for 2018, and the currently untitled Episode IX.

There was a third spin-off planned for 2020, but that seems to have been wiped off the slate.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released in cinemas on December 15. Watch a trailer for the film below:
