In the days of the internet and social media, the secrecy surrounding big blockbuster movies is tighter than ever, and nowhere is it more tight than around Star Wars.
Which is why The Last Jedi's new star (and Los Angeles resident) Kelly Marie Tran found herself living in London for four months without being able to tell a soul.
She told The Star Wars Show that even her parents weren't allowed to know where she had gone.
"I was surprised that my parents took it so well, actually," she said. "After that, I was like, 'Maybe I could get away with a lot more'."
Tran is playing Rose, a maintenance worker for the Resistance who has been called "the biggest new part in the movie" by director Rian Johnson.
She isn't a fighter but nevertheless finds herself pulled into Fin and Rey's battle against the First Order.
A largely unknown actress, Tran has appeared in a series of CollegeHumor Originals and two episodes of the About a Boy TV series.
Han Solo spin-off movie star Emilia Clarke has said that Star Wars secrecy is tighter and "scarier" than Game of Thrones.
Tran will be joined by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern in the movie.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on December 15.
