A new CCTV image appears to show Michael Mosley made it across a Greek coastal path to the nearby town centre.

The 67-year-old TV doctor has been missing since he was went on a hike on the island of Symi on Wednesday. He left around 1.30pm and his wife, Dr Clare Bailey, 62, raised the alarm when he didn't return by 7.30pm

A wide search was launched to locate the health guru amid fears he had fainted or fallen off a cliff. However, images shared with our sister site, Mirror Online, appear to show the presenter outside the Blue Corner Cafe on Pedi Beach 20 minutes after he departed.

The surveillance footage was captured around the main road of Pedi at 1.50pm on Wednesday afternoon, around 20 minutes after he is thought to have hiked a coastal route. The CCTV was shared by local site MEGA after being recovered by police who have been "combing" the island of Symi, where the presenter was holidaying. The footage shows Dr Mosley shielding himself from the sun with an umbrella as he passes by.

Greek police say they're engaged in a major search and rescue operation on Symi, the small eastern Aegean island. But despite their best efforts, they have still not located the British doctor. Police said on Friday that the coastguard, police and fire department were involved in the search, with a helicopter, drones and a police sniffer dog deployed. They have found no trace of the 67-year-old who had been vacationing on the island.

The search was focusing on the area between Agios Nikolaos, the coastal area from where Dr Mosley apparently set off on his walk, and the island's main town of Symi. Authorities had also looked into whether he might have left the island altogether, but found no indication that anyone had travelled under his name.
