The Last of Us season 2 gets first look at Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey

The Last of Us season 2 has been filming for a little while now — and official first-look photos at Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey have finally been released.

The images, posted to Instagram, showcase Pascal's Joel looking a bit older and sporting a mullet while Ramsey's Ellie holds a gun with a killer look in her eyes.

"[Pedro Pascal] and [Bella Ramsey] in #TheLastOfUs Season 2, now in production. Coming to @HBO and @StreamOnMax in 2025," the post's caption read.

As well as Pascal, Ramsey, and other returning cast members like Gabriel Luna, plenty of new actors have joined the PlayStation game adaptation for season 2.

There's Riverdale's Spencer Lord, You star Tati Gabrielle, Top Gun: Maverick's Danny Ramirez, Runaways' Ariela Barer, Beef star Young Mazino, Schitt's Creek star Catherine O'Hara and Transformers' Isabela Merced.

Meanwhile, Dopesick actress Kaitlyn Dever has been cast as the character Abby Anderson, who is a major and controversial part of The Last of Us Part II game (although we won't spoil why here).

Meanwhile, Bella Ramsey is certainly set to be pretty busy as she's been announced for a multitude of projects in the last month alone.

The actor will lead Sunny Dancer, which is described as a "refreshing, uplifting and surprising approach to the teenage cancer story", as well as short film More Flames, in which they voice a dog opposite Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor, which has already been released on YouTube.

Ramsey, who is gender fluid and uses any pronouns, will also lead Girl Next Door. The movie is about The White Widow, who remains one of the UK's most wanted women.

The Last of Us airs on HBO in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in the UK.
