As Group B took the stage Wednesday night for a spot in the Super 8, another wildcard contestant, the Bulldog, entered the competition and surprised everyone with a special treat, and we're not talking about the fact that he sang "Candy Girl."
While the first two wild cards managed to dig into the competition, sending two of the OG masked singers home, the Bulldog didn't have quite the same luck as fill-in host revealed that Wednesday night's votes wouldn't count because the Bulldog would be unmasked right then and there. So, who was the Bulldog?
Following his reveal, Cannon, who had dedicated his performance to Nash, told her, "I love you. Niecy, first and foremost, let me say I dedicated my performance because you truly are a queen, and you stepping in for me when, you know, during my sickness, during a hard time for me, and being able to watch you do your thing amazingly, and shine here, I truly do thank you. Thank you so much."
Nash of course got to finish out the remainder of Wednesday's show, as Cannon will return to his hosting duties next week with a newfound respect for all the past, present and future masked singers.
"I have a newfound respect for all of our masked crusaders from season one to all of these people right here on this stage. I never thought I would be nervous. My heart was beating fast and stuff. So I was like, yo, I'm nervous to perform in front of my people," shared Cannon.
