Latest Met Office weather forecast warns of 'increasing risk of snow'
The latest Met Office weather forecast has warned of an 'increasing risk of rain and snow' for the UK in the next few days. The end of the year is when the UK starts to get most excited or most anxious about snow.
Whilst there are dreams of a white Christmas there is also fear about what the cold weather does to travel and to crops for farmers. The Met Office warn in their five day forecast that the weather will be 'turning unsettled, with an increasing risk of rain and snow'.
As the weather across the country starts to get colder there will be rain, turning to snow in the North of the country on Monday (November 18) and on Tuesday (November 19) some of the country will also be hit with the possibility of snow.

London will not see ant of this snow but it will see temperatures drop significantly over the upcoming week. Today (November 17), there will be highs of 10C and lows of 5C. As the week goes on that get progressively colder.
Monday will see high of 8C and lows of 4C before that drops on Tuesday to highs of 7C and lows of 0C. Wednesday (November 20) will be a clear, sunny day, however the highs are 5C and lows of 0C again.
The cold weather stays in the cold weather persists to the latter end of the week too with highs of 5C and lows of 1C on Thursday (November 21), before a slight bump up to 7C and lows of 0C again on Friday (November 22).
