Latest weather maps show exactly when and where snow will hit Lancashire in the coming days
Further snow is expected to hit Lancashire in the coming days as an Arctic chill continues to blasts the UK.
Parts of the county experienced heavy snowfall overnight, with some waking up to a winter wonderland scene on Tuesday morning (November 19). It followed a 16-hour yellow Met Office warning of snow and ice for the region.
The conditions, described as "the first taste of winter", caused road closures, train cancellations and bus diversions while the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued the first amber cold weather health alert of the season, warning conditions could be dangerous for vulnerable people, including the elderly. LancsLive has not been made aware of any schools that are shut due to the wintry weather this morning.
