What with Donald Trump now officially the next President of the USA (HELP), all of his definitely-not-unstable followers are being paraded out on television for us all to gawp at and go, ‘Huh?’
One such dingbat who’s been sticking her face everywhere is none other than professional rent-a-gob and oft-alleged crazy person Katie Hopkins, who was this week invited on to prime-time Irish chat show, The Late Late Show.
Yeah, not their wisest move to date.
Anyway, one person who took particular issue with Katie’s booking was none other than Bray native Laura Whitmore.
Posting on Twitter, she revealed that she was due to appear on the show to discuss her child sponsorship with Plan Ireland.
However, she was told by producers – last minute – that they didn’t want to feature a piece on 'charity’ – something that in the wake of Hopkins’ booking, Laura rightly took issue with:
“I had made a trip a month before to raise awareness of the children, specifically females, taken out of school too young to support their families.
“It was cancelled last minute and I was informed the charity had been told by the producers they don’t like doing those ‘charity pieces’.
“It angers me that certain other people who don’t need such a platform are given it to spread negativity and let’s face it absolute nonsense.
“It leaves me with little faith in this world.”
Here, here, Laura.
