Lava Erupts From Cumbre Vieja Volcano on Spain's Canary Islands

Lava erupted from the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma on Tuesday night, September 21, as residents evacuated amid the advance of the volcanic lava, video shared by the Canary Islands Volcanology Institute (Involcan) shows.

More than 200 buildings were destroyed and 6,000 people evacuated as lava advanced toward the coastline of La Palma amid the eruption, Telecinco reported.
