Lava Fire Forces Evacuations in Northern California

The Lava Fire continued to grow in Siskiyou County, California, on Tuesday, June 29.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office issued evacuation orders for the Lake Shastina and Juniper Valley areas on June 28.

Cal Fire said that as of the morning of June 29, the fire had burned 13,300 acres and was 20 percent contained.
