Spanish authorities ordered the evacuation of 700 to 800 citizens as the lava flow from the Cumbre Vieja volcano was forecast to run further northwest on La Palma in the Canary Islands on October 12, El Pais reported.
Video taken on Tuesday night shows lava flowing from three separate chimneys, the source said.
In total, 6,800 citizens were evacuated in the three weeks since the Cumbre Vieja volcano’s initial eruption on September 19. The lava flows also “affected” 1,281 buildings and 612 hectares (about 2.4 square miles) according to reports. Credit: Idafe.com via Storyful
