Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime spoilers follow.

This week's Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime episodes gave fans an intense crossover that ended with drug kingpin and murderer Richard Wheatley getting away scot-free from his trial.

Wheatley was accused of killing Kathy Stabler, but the murder trial ended in a mistrial, leading to the DA refusing to re-try the case.

The stars of both Law & Order shows have now teased the fallout of the crossover episodes, and what will happen in these worlds next.

Speaking to TVLine, Tamara Taylor, who plays Wheatley's wife Angela on Organized Crime, teased Angela's ambiguous character and gave some explanation as to her actions after the trial.

She said: "Angela's left with nothing, no protection against the man that tried to kill her twice. So, what does one do? Appear to be a non-threat, perhaps appear to ally with him? Whatever you need to do to stay alive, and to keep your kid alive..."

After testifying against her husband, she now seems to be allying with him once again, as the end of the episode saw the whole family together again and working hard for Wheatley's nefarious purposes. Taylor admitted she believes Angela is "playing an angle".

Taylor also confirmed that she would be back for the next season of Organized Crime, beyond the crossover episodes.

Angela's testimony fell apart on the stand, and though fans might be asking why she wouldn't put Richard away once-and-for-all, and whether she will lose the allies she has developed in the NYPD, Taylor said: "Angela has probably weighed and measured who's scarier. She is sufficiently afraid of him."

The ongoing fall-out of the crossover episode will likely continue in both shows, though more so in the Elliot Stabler-led Organized Crime rather than SVU. But now that Benson and Stabler have rekindled their friendship and they're both still seeking justice for Kathy, it will have a bigger place in the SVU than ever before.

Law & Order: SVU airs Thursdays on NBC in the US. The show airs on Sky Witness in the UK, with select episodes available on NOW.
