Lawnmowers Take Over Bristol, Virginia Streets in Annual Fourth of July Parade

People celebrate Independence Day in all sorts of different ways across the United States, and this year, Dustin Salmons was part of a very unique parade in Bristol, Virginia, on July 4.

Salmons is originally from Tennessee, but his mother moved to Bristol, Virginia, a year ago. As a result, she has become part of neighborhood traditions like the annual lawnmower parade, which has been going on in the Lynwood Hills subdivision since 2004. Salmons and his mother celebrated the parade’s 15th anniversary together, as people took to the streets on their lawnmowers, which were decked out with American flags, stars, stripes and more.
