Lawrance’s Bakery shutting in Truro and sold up in Falmouth

The owners behind popular local bakery chain have said they will be 'winding down' its sites in Cornwall after five years. Lawrance's Bakery & Bar will be closing the doors to its New Bridge Street outlet in Truro for the last time on Sunday (June 2).

It comes as the bakery's owners, Phil Lawrance and Lucy Curnow, said the site's lease is coming to an end. In a post shared on Instagram, the couple added that they will also be winding down the bakery on Little Castle Street in Truro, with a date for closure yet to be set.

The bakery in Events Square in Falmouth has now also been sold and will be opening as a new business. The premises was closed yesterday (Tuesday, May 28) and will remain closed today for a "smooth handover."

Please see more details for each shop.
