London is certainly not lacking in kebab shops — but kebab tasting menus are now a thing and they are coming to the capital.

The team behind Le Bab are launching a new restaurant in Covent Garden that will feature a hidden chef’s table.

The new two-story restaurant, Maison Bab, will open next month.

Featured on the menu will be six different affordable kebabs, all priced under £10, that will rotate with the seasons, including a raclette shawarma and a Drunken Iskender chicken shish. They will feature alongside a selection of contemporary mezze dishes, sides and desserts.

Downstairs will be home to a chef’s table restaurant, Kebab Queen, with room for 10 diners. Guests will have the opportunity to watch head chef Manu Canales Garces (formerly sous chef at Le Gavroche) cook up a six-course kebab-focused tasting menu, priced at £55.

Maison Bab is set to open on September 17, followed by the chef’s table space later in the year.
