Leaders clash in ‘panto’ style Prime Minister’s Questions

In scenes reminiscent of a pantomime both leaders engaged in call and response soundbites with their backbenchers during Wednesday’s PMQs. Sir Keir Starmer urged the prime minister to “get real” and “cancel the cut” to Universal Credit and “stop clobbering” working people. Boris Johnson replied with "I can see that panto season has come early." Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, amid raucous shouting from both sides, said: "Order! Order! If it is, it's certainly behind you.".
