Make a jolly red robin at Country Living's hands-on Christmas masterclass – including expert live tuition – perfect as a tree or mantlepiece decoration.

Celebrate Christmas At Home with Country Living is a 60-hour Christmas bonanza from 12pm on Friday 6th November to midnight on Sunday 8th November 2020. From expert tips on how to make Christmas extra special this year to creative ideas and how to look after wildlife this winter, there's lots going on. Expert crafter Steffi guides you through each step to make a jolly Country Living robin – perfect for your tree or mantlepiece. During the one-hour workshop you will make one complete robin and the kit includes enough materials to make two – so you can make another one after the event.

Ticket Packages

  1. Workshop and felting set - £25 BUY TICKETS

The Robin Needle Felt kit makes two cheeky, standing robins – approximately 10-12cm tall. This package includes:

  • Extra fast felting wool batts in White Shetland, French Country Tops, Fox Red variegated batts, Portuguese Merino & Gotland Lamb Grey

  • 4 x felting needles

  • Basic wool felting mat

  • 2 pairs of wire bird legs

  • Glue-in eye

  • Full colour, step-by-step instructions

  • You will also need:

  • PVA glue pen (or similar)

  • Cellotape

Delivery deadline: To guarantee you receive your kit before the session, please book by 15:00 on Monday 2nd November. You can still book the workshop after this time but you may receive your kit after the event.

2. Workshop only - £8 BUY TICKETS

If you have purchased a workshop only ticket and want to join in the workshop you will need to have the following items ready:

  • 2 x coarse #35 felting needles

  • 2 x medium #38 felting needles

  • Felting mat 8x8cm

  • 7g Shetland white wool batts, 4g French Country brown tops wool batts, 1g Fox red variegated wool batts, pinch of Portuguese Merino dark brown wool batts, pinch of Gotland lamb grey wool batts

  • 1 pair wire bird legs blacks

  • 1 pair of 6mm black glue in eyes

  • PVA glue pen (or similiar)

  • Cellotape


FAQs about the event

How can I access the live stream? The ticket you receive with your confirmation has a link to the private Zoom session. It also appears on all follow-up emails once you have booked the event. If you have any issues with finding it please contact us.

What do I need to access the live stream? Prior to the event, you will need to make sure you are able to access Zoom on your digital device.

On the day of the event, you will be asked to enter your name and your email address to access the live stream so please ensure you allow time to do this before the session begins. This email address will only be used to identify who you are – don’t worry, your information will not be used for anything else.

Can I watch on my mobile/laptop? We recommend watching on a computer or laptop for the best experience, but the stream will also work on mobile and tablet.

Can I share the live stream with a friend? No, the link to the event is unique to you, so your friend will need to register for a ticket to get access.

Do I need a webcam to access the stream? No, you won’t need a webcam to access the stream.

I am not available at the time that the live stream is taking place. Will the session be recorded and posted at a later date? This session will be recorded, so in case you miss it on the day we will email you details of how to watch the video after the event.

Can I get a refund for my ticket as I am no longer available at the time the live stream is taking place? Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer any refunds on purchased tickets. The session will be recorded, so even if you are no longer available at the time of the live session we will send you a recording of this after the event.

I am based overseas. Can I still purchase one of the felting sets? If you are based outside of the UK please contact countrylivingshows@hearst.co.uk and we will advise if we are able to post to your location.

Does the price include Postage & Package? The above price includes P&P for UK Mainland. If you require your item to be sent outside of the UK please contact countrylivingshows@hearst.co.uk and we will be able to advise you on the price for posting which will be in addition to your package price.

Will I be able to talk to Steffi and ask questions during the session? You will be able to post questions via the chat on Zoom during the session and Steffi will do her best to answer as many as possible.

Where will my felting set get delivered to? As part of the registration process, we will ask you to fill in a delivery address. Please ensure this is filled out correctly.

When will I receive my felting set? You should receive your felting set within 3-4 business days after purchasing it. If you haven’t received it within 3-4 business days, please contact us on countrylivingshows@hearst.co.uk

If I order after the cut-off date will the felting set set still be delivered? If you order after 15:00 on Monday 2nd November, we cannot guarantee your felting set will be delivered in time for the session, however, you will still receive it after the session has ended ready to use it another time.

If I attend the session and then want to purchase the felting set afterwards can I do this? Yes, if you would like to purchase the set after the event please contact us at countrylivingshows@hearst.co.uk and we can arrange payment & delivery for you.

My felting set hasn’t arrived, what now? If your felting set hasn’t arrived 3 days ahead of the event please contact us at countrylivingshows@hearst.co.uk and we will check up on it for you. Wherever possible we will try to ensure you have it in time for the session, if you have ordered before the cut-off date & time.

Will I be able to track my felting set? No, you won’t be able to track the delivery of your felting set.

Will someone need to sign for my felting set? No, your delivery will not need to be signed for.

I need to change my delivery address, how can I let you know? Please get in touch with countrylivingshows@hearst.co.uk and we will look into whether this is possible or not. Please note, that it might affect the timely arrival of your felting kit.
