The coronavirus crisis has taught us not to take the simple things for granted. Escaping on holiday, for instance, used to be just a few clicks away without the need to think about quarantines and social distancing.

With the uncertainty around summer beach breaks, one thing's for sure and that's when we finally do get away, we'll want trips that work harder.

Creative holidays are a great way to get more out of your escape, allowing you to learn something new while exploring a beautiful place.

You can pick up a new skill or revisit a long-lost hobby in the company of like-minded travellers who share the same interests. You'll also be joined by experts sharing their knowledge and tips with you so you return home feeling like you've had a rewarding experience.

Learning holidays come in all shapes and sizes, too. They're not always packed with courses but many give you plenty of time to yourself to get a feel for the destination and explore the surroundings.

There are different ways to get creative on holiday, depending on your interests. You can get active with dancing, get hands on with knitting or even practice your passion for gardening with floral masterclasses.

Here's some inspiration for creative holidays at home and abroad, whether you'd like to learn to dance with Strictly Come Dancing stars or try your hand at flower arranging with a top garden designer.
