Learning to drive can be a scary event but reverse parking is nothing compared to be being squashed by a tank.

The teenager driving this Toyota hatchback walked away unscathed from what could have been a nasty accident during her lesson in Augustdorf, Lippe, Germany.

Pulling out in front of a row of military vehicles, the 18-year-old woman was right in the path of an oncoming British tank that couldn’t stop in time.

The 62-tonne Challenger 2 tank, that was being driven by a 24-year-old British serviceman at the time, rolled over the bonnet of the small car, crushing it with ease.

Luckily the learner driver was not injured but her luck doesn’t stretch to her wallet as the car now has around 12,000 euros (£8,600) worth of damages.

The serviceman also walked away uninjured.

The tank, unsurprisingly, had no damage to speak of.
