At least 23 killed and hundreds displaced after flash floods in eastern Indonesia

Landslides and flash floods from torrential rains in eastern Indonesia have killed at least 23 people and displaced hundreds. The floods occurred on Sunday (4 April) at around 1am local time. Officials reported important material damage with dozens of houses buried in mud. Local residents' houses have been washed away by the flood and a broken bridge in Waiburak Village, East Adonara District.
