At least 33 reported dead in Mexico bus crash

VERACRUZ, Mexico (AP) — A passenger bus collided with a broken-down truck and burst into flames, killing at least 33 people Sunday in southern Mexico, the Veracruz state government reported.

The federal highway department said the bus was travelling from the Tabasco state capital of Veracruz to Mexico City when the crash occurred.

The emergency director for Veracruz's Civil Defense agency, Ricardo Maza Limon, said the victims apparently burned to death inside the bus. He said at least four people are known to have survived and officials were working to determine the identities of those who died.
