Leeds road shut down after woman suffers 'medical episode' behind the wheel
Police closed a Leeds road after a woman suffered a 'potential medical episode' behind the wheel and mounted the kerb.
The woman lost control of the vehicle in York Road, Seacroft, near the Village Green, at about 1.08pm on Tuesday, November 26. She was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance.
West Yorkshire Police closed the road between South Parkway and The Green, pending updates on her condition. A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 1.08pm this afternoon to report a road traffic collision on York Road in Seacroft. One ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Leeds General Infirmary."

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At 1.16pm today, police were contacted by the ambulance service who had been called to an incident where an elderly woman had had a potential medical episode at the wheel of her car in York Road, Seacroft.
"The woman has been taken to hospital for treatment and a road closure remains in place between South Parkway and The Green pending updates on her condition."
