Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is adamant there is more to come from summer signings Ao Tanaka and Largie Ramazani. Midfielder Tanaka and forward Ramazani have settled in well to life at Elland Road

Tanaka is in line to replace the injured Ethan Ampadu in midfield when the Whites visit Norwich City tomorrow night, having shown flashes of his ability on the ball since joining the Championship promotion hopefuls. Ramazani, a £10m capture from Almeria, has contributed a goal and an assist in his past two starts to help United move into the top six.

Farke told the media: "We try to support with our tools, lots of communication, showing them videos and individual scenes in order to improve them even more in terms of their positioning and passing choices and to bring our ideal principles of football onto the pitch. But it’s always up to the players.

"We should be careful to praise them too much. I'm happy with what they have done but in all areas, there is lots of space for improvement. I want them to keep on improving their fitness and physicality to be ready with full 90 minutes and highest intensity. They have quality skills.

"There are many young players who are working really hard. They are great characters. I said after we signed them that it's important to have good characters within the group. With good characters, it's a bit easier to make sure they reach the level. They are on a good path but are not the finished product. It's hard to replace straight away proven players in the offence like Daniel James or Manor Solomon or in the defensive positions like Ethan [Ampadu] and Max [Wober] but they are in a good way at the moment."
