Confidence is high amongst Leeds United supporters, who are firmly backing Daniel Farke's side to clinch promotion via Sunday's Championship Play-Off final.

The Whites have done it the hard way, but have given themselves one last shot at the Premier League by reaching the showdown at Wembley Stadium. It wasn't long ago that hopes were high for an automatic promotion spot, though the tide would quickly turn.

Back at the start of March, Leeds had narrowed a once immense gap with leaders Leicester City to only five points, whilst widening their own to Southampton lower down. The only unforeseen issue that came to be were Ipswich Town, and their unprecedented rise through the divisions. United's form wavered in the latter part of the campaign, winning only two of their final eight fixtures, and this opened the door for the Suffolk outfit to pinch second at the death.

The Play-Offs offered a lifeline, but given that poor end-of-season streak and the club's forgettable history via this route, nerves were understandably high. Ultimately a convincing second-leg showing to run out 4-0 aggregate winners over Norwich City in the semi-final served to eliminate such feelings as Daniel Farke set up a meeting with a former student of his - Russell Martin, and his Southampton side.

Only one will be able to win football's £140m-match and reclaim their spot in the top-flight at the first attempt, alongside Leicester and Ipswich. It will not be easy of course, as the tie could yet go the distance over 120 minutes and require nerves of steel in a penalty shoot-out.

But ultimately, Leeds supporters - of who more than 36,000 will fit into Wembley's 90,000-capacity bowl to witness events - are convinced they are the better-equipped to come out on top. We asked our readers to vote on United's Play-Off chances this week, with more than three-quarters (80 percent) of those who took part believing promotion will be secured in some shape or form.

A whopping 72 percent majority believe this will come as a result of victory wrapped up within the regulation 90 minutes of football. Following that, seven percent are under the impression extra-time will be required though Leeds will still come out on top, whilst a minuscule one percent think that the meeting will go down to penalties, where the West Yorkshire club will triumph.

That leaves just 20 percent of voters who fear the worst...
