Leeds United have reportedly joined the chase for winger Couhaib Driouech as they look to rebuild for another season in the Championship.

The winger has found himself the subject of mounting interest this summer, having previously been the subject of a failed pursuit from Swansea City.

The Swans tried to sign Driouech in January, but their chase ultimately failed, with the club eventually deciding to turn their attention to Brazilian winger Ronald. It's not yet clear whether the club have made any serious attempts to revive a transfer this summer, but it's understood there is still some lingering admiration for the forward.

However, a move to south Wales is looking increasingly unlikely, with a number of clubs currently keeping tabs.

Reports in the Netherlands had previously suggested Driouech was closing in on a move to PSV Eindhoven, but fresh indications in the Dutch press have indicated that negotiations have now stalled.

Following their relegation from the Eredivisie, current club Excelsior are believed to be holding out for as higher fee as possible, and are yet to accept PSV's offer of just over €2m.

Driouech's preferred destination is still believed to be PSV, who like Swansea also made moves to try to complete a deal in January. However, the current stand-off has seemingly opened the door for other clubs.

According to Voetbal International, Leeds are among 10 clubs interested in his signature, with Spanish giants Sevilla also credited as potential suitors.

But as things stand, it seems Excelsior are now holding out for a fee between €3.5m and €4m, and that valuation may well have an impact on where he ends up next.
