New Leeds United star loves to 'experiment' as Isaac Schmidt explains what to expect
Isaac Schmidt has fulfilled a 'dream' in signing for Leeds United - and the Swiss defender has promised to offer Daniel Farke plenty in the way of tactical options.
The Whites clinched the signature of the 24-year-old late on deadline day and, while his arrival came too late for yesterday's Championship clash with Hull City, the full-back could make his debut against Burnley after the international break.
Farke has been looking for more competition in the full-back areas, with Schmidt now joining Jayden Bogle, Junior Firpo and Sam Byram in that area, but the Leeds new boy has explained that he is keen to show he can play in an array of different roles.

“I love to play with my head," he said following his deadline day switch. "I can play in every position because I know how to play in all positions, because I can think in many ways. And that's what I love about football, not to think in one way, to experiment, to know how to do everything.
"So I just want to enjoy the first days, look how it is, look how the people are. It's my first time outside of Switzerland for me, so it's kind of cool because I will experiment with something new.”
Schmidt's move to England comes on the back of a successful spell with St Gallen in his native Switzerland - but he can't wait for the challenge of playing in the Championship after sealing what he calls his 'dream' move.
“I'm really happy," he added. "First of all, because it was my dream to come to England and especially to play for a big club like Leeds United. It's like a big dream for me.
“I think that the club matches with my personality and also a club that matches with my values and matches what I think about clubs. It's a club that has big fans, it’s like a big family and that's what I like about clubs. I want to have great moments between the fans, the players, also the staff, all the people who work for the club.”
