Georgino Rutter responded with Coventry City when asked which Championship outfit he has least enjoyed playing against over the course of the campaign.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a productive season in England's second tier, scoring six and assisting 17 to help Leeds United remain within touching distance of an automatic promotion spot with three matches to go. Next up is Middlesbrough tonight at Elland Road, in the knowledge that a victory would heap further pressure on Leicester City and Ipswich Town.

Rutter has not contributed in front of goal since before the international break, when he underwent minor surgery on a hernia problem, but will hope to turn that around having now been named in the division's Team of the Season.

That task won't be a simple one as opposition defences continue to implement low blocks to frustrate Daniel Farke's attacking talent. Having battled through those experiences, Rutter has now revealed the team that he most frustrated with playing to the official Leeds United podcast.

"The worst team was Coventry," the striker announced. "It was the most difficult game I played against because it is a team who are tight on the middle. You receive the ball and you have one guy behind you, on the right. It was hard."

What makes this statement fascinating is the fact that the episode was recorded in the aftermath of the Whites' 3-1 win over Hull City at the start of the month, then just days later they went to Coventry and lost 2-1, so clearly the forward was proven correct.

Mark Robins' side showed their staying power in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United at Wembley when coming back from three goals down, before seeing a 120th-minute winner denied by VAR and losing the resulting penalty shoot-out.

Fellow promotion candidates Southampton - who Leeds face on the final day of the regular season - also received a mention. "We didn’t do a good game so it was a bit difficult," the 22-year-old added. "They were tough as well."
