Leeds United supporters rage at former Man United player after what happened on touchline
Hannibal Mejbri proved on Saturday afternoon that you can take the man out of Manchester United, but you cannot take Manchester United out of the man.
Hannibal, 21, completed a £5million move to Burnley days before transfer deadline day in a deal that could eventually rise to £9m. United also negotiated a sell-on clause and even a buy-back option.
After barely a fortnight away, Hannibal has further endeared himself to his former club's supporters. After quickly establishing himself as a fan favourite after making a tenacious cameo against Liverpool at Anfield two years ago while still a teenager, he continues to show that spirit in a Clarets shirt.

After being substituted in the 73rd minute with Burnley leading 1-0 against Leeds United at Elland Road, Hannibal left the pitch at the closest side and then had to walk around the perimeter before taking a seat on the bench. But with three individuals chaperoning him, Hannibal turned the walk into a lap of honour, gesturing to the Leeds fans while walking behind one of the goals.
Then, after coming around to the corner where the away supporters were all standing applauding their player, he turned to them and clapped them back. After seemingly being ushered towards his destination by a steward, Hannibal sped himself up by taking two quick steps before fist pumping in front of the away end.
Met with a huge cheer, he turned to the fans behind the goal he had just walked past and stretched both arms out while walking backwards, doing so again before turning around to continue his trudge to the dugouts. Burnley ultimately held on for the win, their first since signing Hannibal after drawing 1-1 with local rivals Blackburn Rovers in his first league game following a 2-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on his debut in the Carabao Cup second round.
