Leeds United team news vs Coventry City as injury doubts cleared up by Farke selection
After a week of mounting injury doubts, Daniel Farke has the luxury of naming an unchanged Leeds United line-up today. Pascal Struijk was the biggest question mark coming into today’s match, but he has been passed fit and continues in central defence alongside Joe Rodon.
Junior Firpo missed part of training this week, but returned to the squad on Thursday. When Farke spoke in his press conference he remained unsure how the left-back’s body would respond, but evidently he has come through without any issues to continue.
Struijk’s return to fitness also means Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev remain untouched in the engine room. As Farke has stressed in recent weeks, Leeds have not conceded when their centre-backs have been behind the ball over the last five matches.

On the bench, Joe Gelhardt returns to the fold in the absence of Charlie Crew, who has ben playing with the under-21s. Patrick Bamford remains there too, despite missing some training this week with a knock.
The selection means Ampadu, Firpo and Rodon are the only players still on for starting every match in all competitions this season. As ever, Alex Cairns is with the squad, but remains off the teamsheet.
Today’s referee against the Sky Blues is Gavin Ward and he is assisted by Lee Venamore, Robert Hyde and David Rock (fourth official).
