Leeds United tipped to sign Coventry City star Callum O'Hare amid Premier League interest

Leeds United have been tipped to sign Coventry City playmaker Callum O'Hare this summer as Daniel Farke aims for Premier League promotion next season.

The Whites fell short at Wembley Stadium last month as Southampton secured a spot in the top flight of English football with a 1-0 win in the playoff final at Wembley Stadium. Farke will now look to bolster the attacking options within his Leeds squad in an attempt to go one step further in the 2024/25 campaign.

According to TEAMtalk, one of the options currently being considered at Elland Road is Coventry star Callum O'Hare. Leeds have reportedly joined Burnley and Southampton in the race to secure the 26-year-old's services this summer following another strong campaign at the Sky Blues.

O'Hare recorded six goals and eight assists for Mark Robins' side across his 31 appearances in the Championship. The player is now set to leave Coventry on a free transfer at the end of his deal this month after rejecting a new deal at the club, with Leeds 'keeping tabs' on him ahead of a potential exit for Crysencio Summerville in the transfer window.

While rumours continue to circulate and O'Hare's future gets decided behind the scenes, ex-goalkeeper Paul Robinson has pushed for Leeds to pursue the 'experienced' signing this summer. “Leeds are going to be linked with a lot of free transfers because of the financial situation they’re in at the moment,” said Robinson, via MOT Leeds.

"He’s a good player. He’s had a couple of very, very good seasons at Coventry City. They came very close to getting into the Premier League two seasons ago, narrowly missing out.

“He’s played regularly at that level, he’s experienced and started his young career at Aston Villa. He knows the Championship and he’s a good quality player.

“It would be a good addition if Leeds can secure him on a free transfer. We can sit and speculate on Leeds’ incomings for as long as we want, but the biggest thing is in the outgoings.

“It’s easy to identify positions that need addressing in an ideal world but we’re not in an ideal world. Players are going to leave. So, players like O’Hare are going to be linked but until they know which gaps need plugging, it’s difficult to speculate.”
