So far the summer transfer window has been dominated by a procession of outgoings from Leeds United. Joe Rodon may have arrived as part of the deal that took Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur, while Brenden Aaronson has returned to the club following a season-long loan deal, but it's the volume of departures which has dominated proceedings so far.

Leeds need some fresh investment, some new bodies to aid the cause of manager Daniel Farke, and a signing announcement to lift the mood among many supporters. But while the numbers within the squad have been falling, expectation, outside of Leeds at least, has been unwavering so far this summer.

Having been installed as favourites to win the Championship in the wake of their Wembley play-off final defeat to Southampton, Leeds have seen their position as the leading contender for automatic promotion only strengthened in recent weeks. Bookmakers still make the Whites the favourites to lift the Championship trophy come the end of the new season, and not only that they're now seen as the clear favourites.

Priced at 3/1 with Sky Bet, Leeds are the heavy favourites ahead of second placed Burnley at 7/1 and Luton Town at 12/1. It's a further drop to the likes of Middlesbrough, Coventry City and West Brom at 14/1, with Farke's men the expected front runners having come so close this year.

The odds will change as more signings are made across the Championship and squads firm up their squads, but even without an influx of new faces so far, it's Leeds who are being tipped to get the job done.
