Bake Off Crème de la Crème continued tonight (April 11), and it was just as intense, nerve-wracking and hunger-inducing as before – and this time, the judges stepped it up a notch, too.
Tonight's challenges for the four remaining teams included making 36 identical choux pastry eclairs, 36 identical Mont Blancs and a spectacular, show-stopping wedding cake.
And while the teams were under the usual scrutiny from "the Jedi of patisserie judges," the ever-stringent Cherish Finden had a new gadget up her sleeve to test the teams' impeccable accuracy.
But before we get onto Cherish's weight shaming – yes, really – it's time to reveal who lost their place in the competition.
While Paula's team reigned supreme in first place once again, this time Stephen and his team were made to say goodbye to Benoit, Cherish and her weighing scales.
Catch me getting kicked out of Greggs for weighing each individual Éclair I buy. #GBBOCreme- Kit McGowan (@KitBop) April 11, 2017
I also always weigh and measure my eclairs before I eat them. Un peux ridiculous, n'est pas #GBBOCreme- Sarah Ishak (@Flutter_ish) April 11, 2017
Did she really measure and weigh the choux pastry #GBBOCreme- Sophie Kathir (@SophieKathir) April 11, 2017
Jeez I thought she was bad with the ruler. No we have weighing scales!!! #GBBOCreme- Leanne (@leanne_oc81) April 11, 2017
Cherish and her weighing scales though.#GBBOCreme- *☆ﾟTrash Queen ☆* (@PastelZombii) April 11, 2017
While the chefs began to crack under the pressure put on them by Cherish and Benoit, it seemed their language started to falter as well.
Not that people at home minded – in fact, we reckon there's grounds to start a petition to enter 'clawbackable' into the dictionary.
#GBBOCreme "chewbackable" is right up there with "bouncebackability"- Margaret Roberts 🐮 (@Researchdogbody) April 11, 2017
While Bake Off Crème de la Crème might be one of the most stressful cookery programmes on our tellyboxes at the moment, there's still no denying we wouldn't mind working on that show.
Who wouldn't want to taste cake for a living, eh?
Tasting five different cakes? If there was a vacancy in tasting these I'd sign up straight away #GBBOCreme- Daniel Jenks (@DanielJenks89) April 11, 2017
