Legendary DJ Robert Miles dies aged 47
World famous DJ and producer Robert Miles has died aged 47.
The Children hitmaker passed away from a mystery illness, DJ Mag Italia reports.
Miles – real name Robert Concinca – rose to fame in 1996 when his club classic track Children was played on Radio 1 by Pete Tong and it shot to the top spot in 12 countries as well as reaching the top five in every European country with a singles chart.

Tong led tributes to the Trance music legend on social media and thanked him for the music, while longtime friend Joe T Vannelli said he was devastated by the news.
He told DJ Mag Italia: “The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset.
“I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgements but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled.”

After his chart success, the Italian native went on to launch Open Lab, a radio station in the Balearic islands, and worked behind the scenes experimenting with sound.
