The late and much-missed Carrie Fisher will make her final appearance as Leia Organa in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
We've been promised a larger part for her to play than her minor Force Awakens role – and if the latest rumour is to be believed, it will not only be larger... it will be massive.
Nerdist News Talks Back has claimed that Rian Johnson's movie will feature a first-act showdown between General Leia and the First Order's mysterious master, Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis).
The rumour claims that Leia is taken captive and brought before Snoke, which cues up a huge shouting match between the pair (maybe one that will reveal a few more things about the new Star Wars big bad).
The princess turned Resistance leader is likely to be less than happy with Snoke about the corruption of her son Ben Solo/Kylo Ren.
Fisher had completed filming on The Last Jedi before her death in December 2016. The film will not be altered to memorialise her.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy last month shot down rumours that Fisher would also appear in Colin Trevorrow's Star Wars Episode 9.
Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern will appear alongside Fisher and Serkis in Episode 8.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on December 15.
