Leicester City’s hunt for a new manager is increasing in intensity now Enzo Maresca’s officially out the door.

There are plenty of names in the frame to replace him. As things stand, Steve Cooper, Carlos Corberan, David Moyes, Graham Potter, Oscar Garcia, and Ruud van Nistelrooy are the bookmakers’ favourites.

There’s plenty for City to consider over their next appointment. Do they stick to the plan they had under Maresca and bring in a manager who has a possession-based brand of football? Or do they look for a survival specialist, someone who can keep them in the division no matter what?

Beyond the search for a new boss, there’s plenty on the agenda for City. They’re officially a Premier League club now with the shares transferring today, which means their EFL transfer embargo ends.

That should lead to contracts being handed out to the likes of Jamie Vardy and Jannik Vestergaard in the coming days. But it won’t mean they start dipping into the market to buy players just yet, with the focus on sales for now while they make sure they are in line with Profit and Sustainability regulations before the end of the month.
