Bilal El Khannouss has been handed his first Leicester City start against Everton with the attacking midfielder coming in as Steve Cooper’s sole change.

El Khannouss, who made his debut three weeks ago against Aston Villa but was an unused substitute against Crystal Palace, will play behind striker Jamie Vardy as City look to beat the bottom-of-the-table Toffees and claim their first win. Oli Skipp is the man to drop out.

It means that Wilfred Ndidi keeps his place in the team after his pair of assists at Selhurst Park, but he will drop into defensive midfield alongside Harry Winks. Skipp is on the bench.

With only one change made, it means Stephy Mavididi and Jordan Ayew will play on the wings, with Abdul Fatawu among the substitutes. In defence, it’s the same back four once more, with Ricardo Pereira again on the bench, the Portuguese hoping to make his first appearance of the Premier League season this afternoon.

On the bench, Odsonne Edouard is included in the squad for the first time and could make his debut, having been ineligible against his parent club last weekend. Boubakary Soumare is the man to fall out of the squad.

Conor Coady, after conceding the penalty that cost City a win at Palace, keeps his place as the substitute centre-back. It means, for the second straight game, Jannik Vestergaard is not involved.

City (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Winks; Ayew, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Vardy. Subs: Ward, Ricardo, Coady, Choudhury, Skipp, Buonanotte, De Cordova-Reid, Fatawu, Edouard.
