Leicester City host Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday, a first game of the 2020/21 campaign for the Clarets.

Jamie Vardy scored twice from the penalty spot as the Foxes beat West Bromwich Albion 3-0 in their opener last weekend, but Burnley were due to face Manchester United, with the game postponed due to the Red Devils’ European exploits at the end of last season.

Both teams have played once though, with Sean Dyche’s side in action in midweek against Sheffield United in the League Cup, winning 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Brendan Rodgers’s team have had a week off, as they don’t enter the competition until the third round.

Here’s all you need to know about the game on Sunday evening.

When is it?

The game kicks off at 7pm at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

How can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on BBC One, with coverage starting at 6:45pm. It will also be streamed live on the iPlayer.

What is the team news?

Ricardo Pereira is a long-term absentee for Leicester, while fellow defenders Filip Benkovic and Wes Morgan are also injured. Jonny Evans is suspended. New signing Cengiz Under has not yet received international clearance after joining on loan from Roma on Sunday morning.

For Burnley, Ashley Barnes and Ben Mee are big absences. Jack Cork and Johan Berg Gudmundsson are also injured, while James Tarkowski is a doubt.

Predicted line-ups

Leicester: Schmeichel; Castagne, Ndidi, Soyuncu, Justin; Perez, Tielemans, Mendy, Praet, Barnes; Vardy.

Burnley: Pope; Bardsley, Tarkowski, Long, Taylor; Pieters, Brownhill, Westwood, McNeil; Rodriguez, Wood.

Odds

Leicester - 11/17

Draw - 3/1

Burnley - 11/2

Prediction

Too many of Burnley’s key players are injured or not at peak fitness for this game and Leicester should be confident of making it two wins from two. Foxes to win 2-1.
