Leicester vs Crystal Palace, Premier League preview: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, live stream, h2h, odds

Crystal Palace are looking to shake off a frustrating loss as they make the trip to face Leicester City this weekend.

Burnley ran out 1-0 winners at Selhurst Park to leapfrog Palace in the table and all but end their European football qualification hopes.

Leicester haven't won, in any competition, since football returned and further dropped points could severely threaten their Champions League position.

Date, time and venue

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace is scheduled for a 3pm BST kick-off on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at King Power Stadium with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

How to watch

TV channel: Leicester City vs Crystal Palace will be shown live on Sky Sports' Premier League and Main Event channels, and is available via Now TV with a day pass for £9.99, or a three-month pass on offer for £25.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can stream the match online via SkyGo and the SkyGo app, with a mobile month pass available for £5.99.

Team news

Crystal Palace will be able to call upon Christian Benteke to lead the line after overcoming injury.

Martin Kelly is also making progress as he looks to return to fitness, though Gary Cahill and Scott Dann are likely to continue at the back.

Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to score last time out, but Jamie Vardy - still searching for his 100th Premier League goal - will start.

James Maddison will be pushing for a start. Daniel Amartey and Ricardo Pereira are injured.

Prediction: Leicester 1-1 Crystal Palace

Leicester haven't quite looked themselves since the restart, while Crystal Palace are looking up, rather than down, after a decent return to the pitch. Honours even at the King Power.

Alan Smith's view

Brendan Rodgers must now be getting worried. No wins in four games since the restart has left Leicester looking vulnerable in terms of a Champions League spot. All of a sudden, they find themselves glancing down where Wolves in sixth place lie only three points behind.

On paper, however, the visit of Palace should be ideal to turn the tide. Safe in mid-table, Roy Hodgson’s boys can afford to coast a bit now. But that’s what makes them dangerous. A team playing with freedom is always unpredictable.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

An even head-to-head record sees both teams with 27 wins to their name, with 18 draws.

Leicester won the reverse fixture earlier in the season, but Crystal Palace had won the previous four in a row.
